HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 hits streets more than a dozen years after its predecessor HELLBILLY DELUXE, which established Rob Zombie as a solo artist after the demise of his cutting edge band White Zombie. Zombie’s sinister directorial vision is responsible for reviving the Halloween franchise: the first installment of Halloween debuted at #1 at the box office in 2007, breaking all Labor Day Weekend 2007 records and has since grossed an estimated $80 million worldwide. This marks Zombie’s second Top Ten debut in 6 months…the Zombie-helmed Halloween 2 landed at #3 at the box office in August, 2009 and went on to become one of the biggest horror movies of the year, grossing more than $37 million to date.
